Description
The Nikon D800E 36.3MP Digital SLR Camera opens up a new world of photography to the professional market. The added extra of large file sizes, allows you to deliver with confidence to your client. The 36.3 megapixels allows for outstanding quality in both bright and darker environments. All topped off with 1080p video, ensuring you are delivering quality every time.
The Nikon D800E 36.3MP Digital SLR Camera is a variant of the Nikon D800 that is free from the effects of an anti-aliasing filter. Projected at studio and landscape professionals the Nikon D800E should supposedly begin to rival medium format digital equipment in terms of resolution. In our testing, the D800E matches the Nikon D800 in almost all compliments, but does offer a meaningful increase in resolution in certain situations.
The Nikon D800 has to be one of the best DSLRs we’ve seen here at What Digital Camera, it is great blend of handling, build-quality, performance and probably most of all, image quality. With a resolution of 36.3MP, it’s the highest pixel count yet we’ve seen from a DSLR, and with that kind of resolving power, naturally finds itself compared too much costlier medium format cameras.
The Nikon D800E is identical in everything single way to the Nikon D800, though the optical low pass filter has had its anti-aliasing properties removed. So while the Nikon D800E will be more vulnerable to moiré, photographers should benefit from a slight increase in resolution and sharpness when shooting with the Nikon D800E over the standard Nikon D800.
